Wild Hearts Home Education Program
Who: Children ages 5-14.
When: First and third Tuesday of the month, 9:00-1:00.
What: Twice a month programming that's especially suited for home school, cyber school, & un-school children to explore, create, envision, and build. Each session is planned around what our students wish to discover & create with a nature focus. This is a drop-off program.
Semester Schedule:
Fall semester topics may include, but aren't limited to, nature crafting, medicinal plant identification and tincture/salve making, fort building, hiking, foraged and farm grown food creations, and whatever else our students choose!
Spring semester topics may include, but aren't limited to, nature crafting, maple sugaring, snow and ice games, fire building, and whatever else our students choose!
Where: Mother Earth Farm, 4420 Warren Road, Indiana, PA
Bring: Clothing for the weather, waterproof gear a must for cold/wet days, water bottle, lunch/snack.
Cost: $30/day and $25 for each additional sibling! You owe each month's payment regardless if your child(ren) misses a class
Register: Limited spots available, preference given if registering for both fall and spring semesters.

Dogwoods Home Education Program (Smaller class size for our younger crowd)

When: Second and fourth Tuesday of the month, 9:00-11:30
What: Twice a month programming that's especially suited for home school, cyber school, & un-school children to explore, create, envision, and build. Each session is planned around what our students wish to discover & create with a nature focus. This is a drop-off program.

Monthly Nature Labs
Nature Labs are once a month program for home educated students that will cover a specific topic related to agriculture or the natural world. Registration is first come first serve. This program is more structured than our other two regular home education programs; however, there is still time for child-led exploration and learning. This is a drop-off program for elementary aged students and up.
When: Once a month on a Wednesday from 1:00-3:00
Where: Mother Earth Farm, 4420 Warren Road, Indiana, PA
Cost: $20 / participant ($15 for each additional sibling)
DATES for 2026/2027
September 23: Nature Paper Mache: Students will craft using natural materials and homemade glue to create paper mache art (puppets, hats, costumes, etc.).
October 14: Dyeing with Black Walnut: Students will learn how to use black walnut to dye with as well as proper dyeing techniques. They will get to take home their own dyed fabric as well.

February Date TBD: Maple Sugaring: Students will learn the history of tapping maple trees, how to identify a good tree to tap, and will participate in drilling holes and tapping maple trees. They will also have the opportunity to sample fresh maple sap (weather permitting!)
